6/13/2011 - PETROBRAS STRIKES PAY ON BRIGADEIRO PROSPECT |
| Petrobras drilled a new oil accumulation in the Cretaceous reservoirs of the Espírito Santo Basin. The
discovery resulted from the drilling of well 1-BRSA-926D-ESS (1-ESS-205D), informally known as Brigadeiro, in 6,232 FSW (1,900 MSW) in the Concession area BM-ES-23, block ES-M-525, 115 km off the Espírito Santo coast.
The discovery was proved by logging and fluid sampling performed through a cable test in reservoirs trapped at a depth of around 4,200 meters.
Petrobras operates BM-ES-23 with a 65% stake, which also includes Shell Brazil Petróleo Ltda (20%) and Inpex Petróleo Santos Ltda (15%). |
